The decision was taken during a hearing chaired by Arun Jaitley, an eminent lawyer and head of the Delhi and Districts Cricket Association, following representations from the player and the two franchises involved – Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians.The IPL’s governing council had banned Jadeja for one season on instructions from Shashank Manohar, the BCCI president, because he failed to sign the renewal contract with Rajasthan for the ongoing season and attempted to negotiate a new contract with Mumbai. It later agreed to enter an appeal from Jadeja and the two franchises.Jaitley upheld the ban after finding that “the player contrived a situation to his advantage by breaching the player trading rules and not signing his third year contract for IPL 2010 with the Rajasthan Royals”, the league said in a statement.”Thus, Ravindra Jadeja committed a breach on two counts; firstly, by not signing the contract with the Rajasthan Royals for IPL 2010, wherein he wanted to declare himself free from contractual obligations and failed to discharge his obligations under the player trading rules. Secondly, Jadeja’s act of meeting representatives of the Mumbai Indian franchise and sending his contract documents to them for inspection and his own admission that he received documents from Mumbai Indians and used them for representation purposes to the governing council, reveal that he was indeed guilty of breaching the operational rules by approaching another Franchise.”Jaitley also recommended that Mumbai be warned for “having approached a player who was under an obligation to play for another franchise” and said “a more deterrent line of action should be considered” for future offences of this nature.

Justamente depois de servir à Seleção no bronze do Pan-americano de 2015 e ser artilheiro com cinco gols, Luciano voltou ao Timão para tentar mostrar a Tite seu valor. O técnico acreditou, o escalou como titular em cinco jogos seguidos e foi “premiado” com cinco gols. A boa fase que não parecia ter fim foi interrompida bruscamente no jogo de ida das oitavas de final da Copa do Brasil. Aos 35 minutos do primeiro tempo, ele arrancou pela direita, foi desarmado e caiu no gramado da Vila Belmiro com fortes dores no joelho. Luciano ainda tentou ficar em campo mais algum tempo, mas a lesão era séria e comprometeu não só o jogo decisivo, com sua sequência na equipe.

Foram seis meses fora – sem entrevistas e sem badalação –, e ele volta a ser titular do Corinthians na vaga do poupado André, de quem agora ele será a sombra.

‘Emergencial’ em 2014 quer melhorar marca em clássicos

Luciano foi anunciado como reforço do Corinthians 15 dias depois de a equipe, então dirigida por Mano Menezes, perder por 5 a 1 para o Santos. Junto com o atacante do Avaí vieram uma série de mudanças para tentar espantar a crise pós-saída de Tite. Desde a chegada ao Timão, o jogador disputou dez clássicos e saiu derrotado em apenas três, com mais quatro vitórias e três igualdades.

Luciano marcou apenas um gol em jogos com alta rivalidade com a camisa do Corinthians até o momento. Em agosto de 2015, o camisa 18 balançou as redes do Morumbi no empate em 1 a 1 com o São Paulo, pela edição do Brasileirão vencida pelo clube.

Ter marcado apenas um gol em clássicos pode ser explicado por outro número: Luciano foi mais reserva do que titular nesse tipo de jogo. Nos dez eventos, saiu jogando em apenas quatro, e nos outros seis esperou do banco de reservas pela sua chance.

Contra o Santos, os números são ainda menos favoráveis: duas derrotas e uma vitória em três jogos, sendo que os dois resultados negativos foram exatamente na Vila Belmiro, palco do jogo de hoje. Luciano só foi titular no último, quando sofreu contusão.

O camisa 17 entrou no segundo tempo no lugar de Danilo e a entrada do apoiador no confronto fez com que o Timão mudasse de postura em relação ao futebol que apresentou no primeiro tempo. O corintiano fez questão de destacar a partida de alto nível contra a Ferroviária e ainda rasgou elogio ao adversário:

-Enfrentamos um adversário muito difícil, jogando em casa, com apoio da torcida. É um adversário que sai jogando em praticamente todas as bolas, então eles têm mérito também – finalizou.

Na próxima quarta-feira, às 21:45, O Corinthians volta a jogar fora de casa. Dessa vez, o rival será o São Bento, no estádio Walter Ribeiro, em Sorocaba. O Alvinegro ocupa a primeira posição do Grupo D, com 13 pontos.

وأشارت التقارير إلى أن النادي قد يضع 30 مليون مكافاة توقيع للاعب الفرنسي، بالإضافة للمتغيّرات المرتبطة بأرقام اللاعب.

The UEFA Europa League began in earnest this month, with the draw on 1 October shaping the entire complexion of the competition. As usual, the teams were drawn from pots based on their UEFA coefficients, which are (for now) the defining metric for seeding teams, but not even that could prevent a ‘group of death’ or two from forming.

Last season was no different, with Dynamo Kiev, PSV Eindhoven, Lazio and Borussia Mönchengladbach being definite victims of a shock failure to proceed. Those case studies fuel the belief that some other fancied teams will fall by the wayside, or at least find themselves on the receiving end of an underdog victory.

With this in mind, these three matches will be ones to watch.

Milan v Lille (5 Nov)

All wagering odds for the greatest tournaments show a moneyline favourite and an underdog in every match, but there are certain elements that can reduce the odds against the latter. In the case of Group H, which has already been identified as a particularly tough group, Milan may field a couple of fringe players. Whether or not they do so against Lille, they are guaranteed a challenge, with the French club making an excellent start to 2020/21.

While it is hard to ignore the fact that Lille have not won a Europa League match since December 2010, it is the here and now that really matters. Every Ligue 1 game up to the international break saw Lille keep a first-half clean sheet, contributing much to an unbeaten return of four wins and two draws from the opening six league games.

The continued absence of AC Milan from top-level European football has also played its part in devaluing the San Siro’s status as a fortress when Milan are the hosts. The Rossoneri’s current UEFA coefficient (19.000) is a stark fall from the one with which they entered their last Champions League campaign seven years ago (93.829).

Milan have lost two of their last five Europa League games, against Arsenal and Real Betis, and were unimpressive in their qualifying win over Bodø / Glimt, just scraping home 3-2 after a disastrous start, and relying on a double from Hakan Çalhanoğlu to bail them out.

Cluj v Roma (26 Nov)

Romanian clubs have enjoyed a minor renaissance in recent years, with Astra Giurgiu’s double-header of qualifying aggregate wins over West Ham a few years ago standing prominent in the memory. Over the past 12 years though, CFR Cluj have become a consistent beacon for Romanian football, making a maiden appearance in the 2008/09 Champions League group stage. They won only once en-route to a fourth-place finish – but it was a memorable victory.

Of all teams, it was Roma they beat in that group stage campaign, with Cluj winning 2-1 at the Olympic stadium and stealing all the headlines. Last season saw Cluj make a real breakthrough, with the Transylvanian outfit sucking the life out of every visitor in the group stage, going on to finish second.

Though immediately eliminated by Sevilla – who defied their own adverse pre-match odds to win the final – Cluj did not lose either leg, instead bowing out on away goals. Notably, Roma’s neighbours Lazio were amongst Cluj’s victims in last season’s group stage, meaning that Cluj are not short of the inspiration necessary to ensure that Roma ‘sleep well’ yet again.

Arsenal v Rapid (3 Dec)

For their part, Rapid Vienna have not faced English opposition for ten years, notably dumping Aston Villa out at the Europa League qualification playoff stage for the second time in as many seasons back in 2010. That year also marked Rapid’s most recent competitive win on English soil. More recently, Rapid played opposition from Europe’s top-five leagues twice last term, but were punished in their away legs, going down 5-0 at Villarreal and 4-0 at Inter.

Under normal circumstances, this would go in a similar direction, but it is not just ‘hard’ groups that open up the potential for a shock.

Arsenal have been granted a relatively easy group, containing no other representatives from one of Europe’s top five leagues. That yields expectation of progression being sealed early – perhaps even with two games to spare, provided that Mikel Arteta takes the competition seriously, as he surely will given Arsenal’s status as outright favourites.

Even if progression is not completely sealed by matchday five, a number of fringe players are certain to feature given Arsenal’s home advantage, giving this one a similar feel to recent shock UEL home defeats vs Olympiakos and Ostersunds.

Segundo apuração do LANCE!, a diretoria do Fluminense vê o empréstimo como uma possibilidade de Robert ganhar experiência e maturidade. Desde que subiu para os profissionais, em 2013, o camisa 34, nunca conseguiu se firmar e ainda se envolveu com problemas de indisciplina (acidente de carro).

Com apenas 19 anos, Robert disputou apenas 11 partidas com a camisa do Fluminense, sendo dez nesta temporada. No total, o jogador marcou dois gols com a camisa tricolor.

Brighton and Leeds are set to do battle in the transfer market yet again, with both clubs reportedly submitting offers for Lazio’s Jordan Lukaku.

Lazio News reported [via HITC] that the Premier League pair have both made offers of £4.5m for the Belgium defender, who is valued at a modest £5m by the Serie A club.

The Daily Mail reported this week that the 26-year-old is keen to test himself in England, where his brother Romelu played for Chelsea, Manchester United, Everton and West Brom.

Brighton already rejected three bids from Leeds for Ben White in the summer transfer window, while both clubs have been linked with players such as Rico Henry, Jhon Chancellor and Nicolas Gonzalez.

Lukaku, who has been capped eight times by his country, made only one Serie A start last season in an injury-ravaged campaign, often having to be content with coming off the bench for Simone Inzaghi’s side.

Indeed, he has made a paltry two league starts in the last couple of years, with repeated injury problems depriving him of a regular run of games for the Rome-based outfit.

While he had not had the best of times at the Stadio Olimpico over the past two seasons, the 26-year-old can be a useful attacking outlet from the left flank, providing 18 assists in 189 career appearances even though he has played primarily as a left-back (as per TransferMarkt)..

That is a position where Brighton could have a vacancy this season. Dan Burn, by trade a towering centre-back, frequently played on the left-hand side of defence last term and looks set to do so again for the foreseeable future.

That is because Bernardo, a natural left-back at the Amex Stadium, has been linked with an exit from the Seagulls recently, with West Ham and Newcastle among the clubs interested in the Brazilian (as per Sky Sports).

With Lukaku playing so little football since 2018 given his lengthy injury troubles, there would certainly be an element of risk to signing him. However, that is attenuated considerably by his knockdown asking price of £5m, while the possible departure of Bernardo could leave Brighton short-stacked in the left-back area.

As a Belgium international with 66 appearances in Serie A, the Seagulls could do a lot worse than looking to bring in Lukaku and free him from his Lazio torment.

And as per Italian publication Calcio Mercato, Spurs are keen on Croatia international Perisic, and are willing to send Lamela in the opposite direction to lure him away from Inter this summer.

Mourinho’s perfect signing

With finances set to be tight this summer, swap deals may become the norm in the Premier League, and if Daniel Levy can engineer a move in which Spurs get Perisic for Lamela, then it would be an absolute masterclass.

Mourinho has gone on record with his praise for Perisic, with his comments after his performance in Croatia’s World Cup semi-final triumph over England back in 2018 showing just how much he rates him.

He said: “Perisic is the kind of winger that is different to the others. Normally you look at wingers and they are just fast and creative. But he is also physical, very physical, fantastic in the air.”

Described as a leader and someone who sacrifices himself for the team by former Inter boss Luciano Spalletti, the 6 foot 1 ace has all the hallmarks of being a prototypical Mourinho signing.

Tall, strong and someone who rises to the big occasion – he struck the equaliser against the Three Lions in that semi-final – Perisic could add some vital trophy-winning experience to Spurs ahead of next season and ensure they have the kind of player who won’t shirk the key moments.
