O Fluminense tem um novo presidente. Após eleições realizadas neste sábado, nas Laranjeiras, a maioria dos sócios decidiram que Mário Bittencourt vai ocupar o cargo pelos próximos três anos e meio. Apesar disto, Ricardo Tenório, da chapa que foi derrotada, destacou a honestidade das votações.

– Eu fico muito tranquilo e muito feliz que esteja passando por isso de uma forma limpa, democrática e positiva. A gente vive um momento muito difícil, eu preguei na campanha a união. Eu espero que a gente entenda que, se não estivermos unidos, não sairemos dessa situação. Então, independente do resultado, é importante a gente estar unido, para sempre e pelo bem do Fluminense – afirmou.

Tenório, inclusive, não descartou ajudar – caso seja chamado – na gestão de Mário Bittencourt, já que, de acordo com suas palavras, quer o melhor para o Fluminense.

– Sempre que fui chamado, servi ao Fluminense. Eu sempre estive à disposição do Fluminense e sempre continuarei, não muda nada – admitiu.

Antes do resultado final, Pedro Abad, que não apareceu publicamente, chamou Mário Bittencourt, Ricardo Tenório e os respectivos vices para uma reunião na sala do presidente. O candidato da Chapa “Libertadores” falou sobre o evento.

– O presidente (Pedro Abad) chamou para uma breve passagem de quem fosse o vencedor, passando algumas considerações e foi só nesse sentido. Como é mudança imediata, o presidente assume na segunda-feira, ele colocou alguns pontos. Nada de grave, é só uma situação que quer uma mudança, a principal é o tesoureiro, que tem ter imediatamente um tesoureiro para poder assinar – confessou.

– Em função dessa correria toda e o Fluminense nesta situação, a sensação é de que a gente tenha uma transição rápida. Que a gente possa dar essa continuidade e combater esses problemas de forma imediata – completou.

Como Mário Bittencourt teve o dobro de votos em relação a Ricardo Tenório, a Chapa “Tantas Vezes Campeão” vai ocupar as 150 vagas do conselho. Por consequência, a chapa “Libertadores” não terá direito a colocar nenhuma pessoa no CoDe.

– Eu não seria conselheiro, mas evidentemente o próximo presidente terá que ter o apoio de todos os tricolores. A gente passa por um momento difícil e se não houver uma união nós não vamos conseguir sair dessa situação – afirmou.

A sensação é de que os jogadores, realmente, precisam descansar. Depois da vitória por 2 a 0 sobre o Avaí, nessa quinta-feira, poucos jogadores sequer pararam para dar entrevistas, acelerando para começarem a folga. – Pela sequência de vitórias e ritmo adquirido nos jogos, é lógico que queríamos continuar. Mas a parada será benéfica também. Com pressão, estresse e responsabilidade, chega o momento em que precisa dar uma parada, para recuperar atletas fisicamente e emocionalmente. A cobrança é muito grande. Confirmation arrived on Monday that Mushtaq Ahmed, the former Pakistan legspinner, is the latest of England’s backroom staff to lose their job in the Peter Moores reshuffle.* David Saker, the fast bowling coach, will continue with his current deal under the new set-up though.Mushtaq was recruited by Moores in 2008, during his previous spell as England coach, after the pair had been together at Sussex when they won their first Championship title in 2003.Mushtaq was involved in an era where Graeme Swann became one of England’s greatest ever spinners, but he leaves with English spin bowling in one of its leanest patches with the strong possibility that they will not field a frontline spinner against Sri Lanka next month.The decision, originally reported in the , did not come as a complete surprise for Mushtaq who had recently applied for a position with the Pakistan team which is also now under a returning head coach in Waqar Younis. The PCB confirmed that Mushtaq was in competition with Saqlain Mushtaq for the spin coach role, but came out on top.Moores is keen to reduce the number of specialist coaches who are involved with England on match days, so Mushtaq was cut. -O que a gente conversou até com funcionários é que passamos momentos difíceis nos vestiários, mas hoje vivemos um dos melhores: grupo unido, sem problema no vestiário. Conseguimos reduzir o elenco. A briga por posição, com menos gente, faz o pessoal se unir mais. E o meu relacionamento com os jogadores é bom. Tem momento que devemos cobrá-los, faz parte do processo. Mark Stoneman struck his third County Championship century of the season before lower order runs helped Durham to a decent total on day one against Sussex.Stoneman, the left-handed opener, struck 16 fours and a six in his 113 but once he fell with the total at 202 for 7, it appeared Durham would post a sub-par total after winning the toss at Chester-le-Street. But new man John Hastings contributed a gritty 51 while Paul Coughlin and Chris Rushworth put on 47 for the last wicket to lift the total to 337, with Sussex closing on 20 without loss in reply.While Steve Magoffin, moving the ball both ways, was comfortably the best Sussex bowler, he only claimed one wicket, with Lewis Hatchett taking 5 for 113. He made the early breakthrough when Keaton Jennings was caught behind, while he had Mark Richardson trapped in front after Scott Borthwick had departed for 10 to leave Durham reeling on 30 for 3.Ben Stokes showed signs of getting back to his best in reaching 32 at lunch as he and Stoneman resurrected the innings, putting on a 102-run partnership for the fourth wicket. This time he played second fiddle as Rushworth bludgeoned 32 off 18 balls before becoming Lewis Hatchett’s fifth victim after edging behind. It was the left-armer’s second five-wicket haul, four years after the first, while Lewis was a useful foil with four scalps for 66 runs.Batting looked to be easiest in the evening sunshine and Sussex openers Chris Nash and Luke Wells safely negotiated the six overs they had to face, although Rushworth posed a few problems.Stoneman, who struck 16 fours and a six in his 113, admitted the match started off tough but got easier as the ball bedded in. He said: “The first 45 minutes were probably the hardest I’ve had this season. The bowling was very accurate and there wasn’t a lot to score off. Then, former Leicestershire favourite Darren Stevens followed up a half-century of his own with two early wickets to leave the home side on 87 for 3 – a lead of just two runs – when bad light brought an premature end.Stevens, opening the bowling with his military medium pace, still moved the ball around enough to trap both Angus Robson and Ned Eckersley lbw in his first three overs. Adam Ball then had Dan Redfern caught behind and at 35 for 3 Leicestershire were in dire straits. But an unbeaten stand of 52 between opener Greg Smith, who made 42, and Josh Cobb, 17, gave Leicestershire a foothold back into the game.The hosts looked to be in the box seat at the start of play with Kent on 106 for 5, still 111 runs behind, but in little over half an hour there was a massive momentum change. Stevens and Ball tucked into some wayward bowling from Charlie Shreck and Nathan Buck, neither of whom could settle into a consistent line or length. Between them they conceded 59 runs in the first 10 overs, 46 of them in boundaries.But Buck finally did find the perfect delivery to knock back Ball’s off stump when he had made 36 out of a sixth-wicket stand of 92 in 22 overs.It sparked a purple patch for the Leicestershire paceman and two more more wickets followed in his next three overs. The last two wickets added 95 runs as Claydon launched a ferocious assault on some poor bowling, battering 14 fours and a six on his way to 77 off 91 balls, before being bowled by Rob Taylor.Claydon and Adam Riley shared a last-wicket partnership of 67 that took Kent past the 300 mark to a third batting point. Buck was the best of Leicestershire’s attack finishing with four for 97 off 26 overs.But, not for the first time this season, Leicestershire will be wondering how they let a promising position slip from their grasp.

Campeão pelo Cruzeiro em 2017, Élber é uma das armas do Bahia para a partida de volta das quartas de final da Copa do Brasil 2019. O Tricolor Baiano enfrenta o Grêmio, nesta quarta-feira, às 19h15, na Arena Fonte Nova, após empatar o primeiro jogo em 1 a 1. Com experiência vitoriosa no torneio, o meia-atacante é peça fundamental da equipe na atual campanha: foi titular em sete das nove partidas do Bahia e não saiu derrotado em nenhuma.

A fase é boa. Foi de Élber o gol decisivo contra o São Paulo, no triunfo por 1 a 0, no Morumbi, pelas oitavas de final da competição nacional. Com excelente sequência de jogos e em umas das melhores fases da carreira, o meia-atacante avalia o momento individual e a força coletiva do time.

– Acho que nossa equipe está atuando com muita solidez e estamos conseguindo colocar em prática o que o professor Roger vem nos pedindo a cada jogo, tanto no ataque quanto na defesa. Fico contente pela nossa sequência na temporada, principalmente na Copa do Brasil, e pela minha fase. Espero poder continuar contribuindo para o bom desempenho da equipe.

Na atual temporada, Élber soma 26 partidas. Em 2018, ele já havia sido uma das principais peças do Bahia na temporada, sendo o jogador que mais entrou em campo, com 56 jogos.

Após o bom jogo na Arena do Grêmio, o Bahia busca manter o ritmo e fazer história: chegar à semifinal da Copa do Brasil pela primeira vez. Para isso, além da boa fase, Élber conta com o bom retrospecto recente contra os rivais desta quarta. Em 2018, ele anotou dois gols contra os gaúchos e foi o melhor em campo em duelo pelo Brasileirão.

– Tive a felicidade de marcar dois gols no Grêmio no ano passado e atuar muito bem. Mas o meu maior desejo é que possamos sair classificados nesta quarta. Quero ajudar a equipe da melhor maneira para podermos chegar ainda mais próximo de uma conquista inédita para o clube. Estamos focados e trabalhando muito para alcançarmos nosso objetivo.
