O Botafogo encerrou uma sequência negativa de três rodadas sem vitória no Campeonato Brasileiro no último domingo, quando derrotou o América-MG por 1 a 0, no Estádio Nilton Santos. Além da torcida, que esteve presente em bom número, outro fator que pode ter inspirado os jogadores do alvinegro foi a presença de João Paulo, lesionado desde o Campeonato Carioca, nos vestiários.

João está longe dos gramados desde março, quando se machucou após uma forte entrada de Rildo, do Vasco. O meia, que chegou a carregar a braçadeira de capitão, faz fisioterapia visando um possível retorno ainda nesta temporada e apareceu no Estádio Nilton Santos para motivar o elenco antes da partida. O vídeo foi divulgado pela “Botafogo TV”, o canal do clube no YouTube.

– Queria muito estar aqui mesmo, queria poder subir com vocês (pro estádio). Quando a gente fica de fora a gente começa a dar valor de como é gostoso e prazeroso poder jogar e viver isso aqui. Seis meses sentindo falta disso e vocês podendo fazer, eu vejo vocês durante a semana, desempenhando para car*****, treinando firme e falta colocar lá. Não tem mistério nenhum, a gente faz isso desde os 6, 7 anos, tem que ter personalidade e confiança – disse.

No pré-aquecimento, o meia participou de algumas partidas de ‘fut-mesa’ e mostrou muita desenvoltura para pular, tocar na bola e subir na mesa em inúmeras oportunidades. Ao lado de João Pedro, a dupla jogou contra Aguirre e Flávio Tênius, preparador de goleiros, e depois com Bochecha e Brenner.

In these days of central contracts and IPL deals it was a delight to hear Alan Richardson speaking earlier this month about the pride he felt in being named as one of Wisden’s Five Cricketers of the Year.The award may have no commercial value but it is confirmation from on high of a job performed with great distinction – and a job which, on the evidence of today’s limited action, the 36-year-old has every intention of doing at least as well this season.Richardson’s 73 Championship wickets last summer went a long way towards helping Worcestershire defy the odds by retaining their Division One status. Surprisingly, given the size of the haul, he took five or more wickets in an innings on only three occasions but there are already two entries in that much cherished column this campaign.Against Notts, in a match which Worcestershire eventually lost by 92 runs, it was 5 for 95. This time it is 5 for 42, from 16 overs, and with power to add.Winning the toss yesterday was a good start for the visitors. Thanks to the weather, though, they had to wait 24 hours in order to get cracking with the ball – and then show still more patience while Jason Roy and Steven Davies were putting together a stand of 48.Surrey are only three matches into this season but already on to their third opening pair. Davies missed the first game, through being with England in Sri Lanka, and now Jacques Rudolph is absent after returning home to South Africa for family reasonsRoy and Davies looked anything but a makeshift combination, however, as they survived for nearly an hour – and, in the case of Roy, prospered to the tune of 38 runs from 36 balls – despite seaming conditions which surely had Richardson licking his lips in anticipation.The breakthrough came when Richardson nipped one back to pin Roy lbw, and Worcestershire were soon on a roll. In all, Surrey lost five wickets for 21 runs in 10 overs, either side of a break for rain, but, to the home side’s credit, Worcestershire had to earn all but one of those successes. Davies nicked another good ball from Richardson, Mark Ramprakash and Rory Hamiliton-Brown both had to play at their deliveries from Richard Jones and only Zander De Bruyn could feel really cross with himself – poking tentatively outside off stump.Batting was never remotely easy. But when the floodlights came on and the sky was nearly as black as night, Tom Maynard and Chris Jordan did extremely well to add the thick end of 50 runs through some ferocious counter-attacking.At that stage, with Surrey 117 for 5, it was pretty much even-steven, given the conditions. But after a second lengthy hold up, the weather improved just long enough to allow another three and half overs, during which Richardson dismissed both Maynard and Jordan to complete his five-for and leave the hosts on 123 for 7.With only two days remaining, the odds are heavily on a draw. Then again, Worcestershire in general and Richardson in particular are rather good at making a nonsense of predictions.

وتابع: “وعلمت منهم أن بعضهم لم يتم صرف رواتبهم منذ خمسة أشهر، أطالب القائمين على إدارة النادي بسرعة صرف الرواتب بمناسبة قرب حلول شهر رمضان المبارك وأعلم جيدًا أن نادي الزمالك به وفرة من الأموال وصلت للنادي سواء من عقد الرعاية أو عقد بيع اللاعب إمام عاشور، وبالتالي لا يمكن التحجج بالحجز على الأرصدة أو عدم توافر السيولة ويكفي ما يعانيه هؤلاء العاملين من صعوبات الحياة”.

ويستعد الزمالك لمواجهة إنبي، غدًا الأحد، في إطار الجولة الـ 21 من عمر بطولة الدوري المصري الممتاز.

Oeste e Atlético-GO fizeram uma das partidas que abriram a 26ª rodada do Campeonato Brasileiro da Série B nesta sexta-feira. Na Arena Barueri, a equipe de Goiânia venceu a partida por 2 a 1, com um gol contra de Daniel Borges e um de Renato Kayser, e chegou ao G-4 da competição.

O primeiro tempo foi bastante agitado, com ambas as equipes criando chances reais de gol. O placar foi aberto aos 31 minutos em lance no mínimo peculiar: o lateral Daniel Borges recuou a bola da região da intermediária, ela bateu em um ‘montinho artilheiro’, saiu da direção do goleiro Tadeu e entrou no gol, abrindo o placar para o Atlético-GO.

O Dragão, porém, nem teve tempo de comemorar, já que, dois minutos depois, os donos da casa empataram: Betinho tocou para Marcinho que, com espaço, avançou e chutou de muito longe, acertando uma bomba no ângulo para empatar o duelo para o Oeste.

A etapa complementar manteve o mesmo ritmo dos primeiros 45 minutos. Logo no início, Pedro Bambú chutou de longe, o goleiro Tadeu deu rebote e Renato Kayser, mostrando oportunismo, apenas teve o trabalho de empurrar para o fundo das redes e dar números finais ao placar.

Com a vitória, o Atlético-GO retornou ao G-4 da Série B, alcançando o terceiro lugar, com 43 pontos. Na próxima rodada, o Dragão fará um clássico contra o Goiás no Estádio Olímpico. O Oeste, por sua vez, permanece na 11ª posição com 34 pontos e terá um compromisso contra a Ponte Preta na própria Arena Barueri no próximo sábado.

With an influx of new personnel to their squad, West Indies can consider themselves far more England’s equals in the forthcoming one-day series, if not even slight favourites given the power in the top order. That strength was on show during their one warm-up match ahead of the opening ODI, as they piled up 335 for 4 against Middlesex. Their performance included a welcome hundred from Darren Bravo and Dwayne Smith’s 96 which showed they should not have to rest purely on Chris Gayle.Gayle’s return to the maroon strip was the initial focus at Lord’s. In the second over he took consecutive boundaries off Robbie Williams and then launched Tim Murtagh for two sixes. With the Middlesex attack lacking Corey Collymore – a former West Indies team-mate of Gayle – and Toby Roland-Jones it was lightweight and Gayle looked set to take advantage. However, he did not quite middle his attempted flick over the leg side off Anthony Ireland and found deep midwicket on the shorter of the boundaries.The backbone of West Indies’ imposing total was a 156-run stand for the third wicket between Darren Bravo and Smith, while the end of the innings was given a kick by Dwayne Bravo – another player back in the squad after IPL duty – who sped to 40 off 21 balls in a fifth-wicket partnership of 73 in six overs. There is certainly no lack of boundary-clearing ability in the visitors’ line-up which extends down to Andre Russell and Darren Sammy in the lower order.Darren Bravo’s innings was timely after a Test series in which he disappointed with 81 runs in five innings. He was not challenged by a weakened Middlesex attack – further depleted by the loss of Williams who suffered a suspected fractured collarbone while fielding – but neither did he let the opportunity to revive his confidence go to waste. The hundred – just his third in List A cricket – came from 110 deliveries in the final over of the innings and he closed out the 50 overs by striking the final two balls for sixes against Josh Davey. He provides an important foil to the more dashing blades elsewhere.Smith – well known to English audiences after his spells in county cricket for Sussex – came within one blow of three-figures after an innings that hinted at a greater maturity in his batting than had previously been evident. Given the chance to bat at No. 4 with Marlon Samuels resting, he played himself in but still did not struggle to score at a run-a-ball, a rate he later increased before driving to mid-on searching for the boundary to reach a hundred. One of his two sixes went into the top tier of the pavilion; Gayle is not the only one who can comfortably clear boundaries.There is suddenly competition for batting places. Samuels, West Indies’ Man of the Series in the Tests, will return to the middle order so one from this side will need to make way. Another advantage for them is many of their batsmen are more than capable with the ball; Gayle, Samuels, Smith and Kieron Pollard all provide useful varieties of spin or medium-pace, one of the reasons the 50-over (and 20-over) format suits West Indies. In this match, though, their bowling was barely needed.Middlesex’s reply was all rather embarrassing. Three of the middle order – Paul Stirling, Neil Dexter and Adam London – fell to a variety of miscued pulls as Ravi Rampaul continued his nagging form from the Test series and Russell produced a lively opening spell. There was just time for Gayle to finish the game with two in three balls, both wickets met with his unique celebrations.Eoin Morgan was not in the side despite his limited cricket so far this season and recent return to form with a 49-ball hundred in the CB40. Instead, he had a net on the Nursery Ground ahead of linking up with the England squad in Southampton on Thursday.

وأصر رئيس برشلونة: “الآن يجب أن نركز على تشجيع الفريق يوم الأحد لأن هدفهم الأول، كما أخبرتكم هو زعزعة استقرارنا، يجب أن نركز على تشجيع لاعبينا ومدربيننا حتى يفوزوا بالمباراة”.

ويشير لابورتا إلى قضية نيجريرا والمتهم فيها برشلونة بإعطاء رشاوي للحكام، حيث يرى رئيس النادي الكتالوني أن ذلك يستهدف زعزعة استقرار الفريق.

The case, a £10 million dispute, will be heard at the Royal Courts of Justice in London on Monday.Wright, who was formerly with IMG and involved with the IPL, has reportedly claimed his dismissal by the franchise in January 2009 amounts to a breach of contract. He joined the Chargers management after the first season of the IPL but, as per the report, was asked to move back to London to work and then told it would be better if the two parties went their separate ways. According to Wright, he was entitled to the £10 million payment as the contract ended and the decision to sue his former franchise was taken as a means of receiving his due.The report, however, quoted the franchise as saying Wright was “avoiding India for fear of being questioned by immigration officials/local police”. Wright is known to have rejected the allegation as “without any foundation whatsoever”. Wright won the right for his case to be heard in the UK, though the Chargers tried to convince the courts that India had jurisdiction.

O técnico Guto Ferreira tem um desfalque para a partida contra o Atlético-MG. A baixa da equipe ficou por conta do volante Márcio Araújo. O atleta deixou o gramado ainda no primeiro tempo na partida do último domingo e, nesta terça-feira, o Departamento Médico da Chapecoense constatou, após exames, um entorse no joelho esquerdo, com lesão grau dois no ligamento colateral medial. Assim, o jogador está fora do jogo contra o Atlético-MG pelo Brasileirão.

A recuperação da lesão é em média de 6 a 8 semanas. Ou seja, o volante ficará um bom tempo para se recuperar e preocupa Guto Ferreira, mas a evolução depende de cada atleta.

Durante as atividades nesta terça-feira, o elenco foi dividido em dois grupos. Os titulares na partida contra o Ceará realizaram trabalhos regenerativos e de força na academia do CT. O restante do grupo, por sua vez, realizou trabalhos táticos, enquanto os goleiros realizaram treinamento específico.

Há outros jogadores que estão no DP. Além de Márcio Araújo, o departamento médico da Chape conta com Capixaba, Hiago, Khevin, Neto, Perotti e Vinicius Freitas.

Nesta quarta-feira, o elenco volta aos trabalhos, novamente no CT, pela manhã. O clube catarinense foca na vitória para sair da zona de rebaixamento e respirar no Campeonato.
