Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia might have to reconsider their overseas signings for the Twenty20 Big Bash due to a clash with Sri Lanka’s international schedule. Muttiah Muralitharan (Victoria), Lasith Malinga (Tasmania) and Ajantha Mendis (South Australia) were set to take part in the Big Bash and thus potentially qualify to play for the states in next year’s Champions League Twenty20.However, there is now a planned tri-series between Sri Lanka, India and Bangladesh during early January that would rule the Sri Lankan players out. Muralitharan said his Victoria contract stipulated that international commitments must take precedence and while he could possibly play a couple of matches at the end of the Big Bash, that was unlikely.”At the time when I sign it was free, now it is a problem because Sri Lanka has put a tour to Bangladesh that’s not confirmed yet,” Muralitharan told the Age. “In the contract we put if it happens then I won’t be able to come, because there’s no point playing two or three matches rather than the whole thing. Isso faz parte do futebol, nenhuma equipe consegue manter o mesmo nível o ano inteiro. Estamos passando por essa oscilação e o Carille está tentando de alguma forma deixar a equipe mantendo o padrão do primeiro turno – diz o contestado camisa 10.

The 24-year-old has been a shining light for Leeds United so far this season, with six goals in 12 games so far in the Premier League (Transfermarkt).

As such, he has received formidable praise, with former top-flight defender Alan Hutton describing him as a ‘nightmare’ back in October, while pundit Clinton Morrison has recently claimed that the Brazilian’s feet are ‘a joke’.

Nonetheless, it is hard to see the maestro staying at Leeds much longer.

The Latest: MBS eyeing Raphinha

As per Fichajes, MBS is now eyeing a potential move for Raphinha, but could face competition from Liverpool and PSG for his signature.

The 24-year-old is expected to leave Elland Road in 2022, but Newcastle may have to wait until the summer in case they end up getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.

The Verdict: Unrealistic

Therefore, Raphinha would be a significant upgrade for Eddie Howe’s squad, but at 24 years of age, he surely has higher ambitions than a Premier League relegation battle for now.

بات اتحاد كرة السلة في طريقه لحسم القرار النهائي بشأن أزمة اللاعب أنس أسامة والتي أثارت جدلا كبيرا في الفترة الماضية.

وكان أنس أسامة مدد تعاقده مع الزمالك في مارس الماضي لكنه بنهاية الموسم تعاقد مع الاتحاد السكندري بعقد يمتد لثلاث سنوات قادمة.

وتقدم كل من الزمالك والاتحاد بأوراق تثبت أحقيتهما في قيد أنس أسامة في الموسم المقبل.

وذكر مصدر في اتحاد كرة السلة لـ”بطولات” أن عقود الاتحاد لضم أنس أسامة سليمة تماما عكس الزمالك وهو ما دفع اتحاد السلة لمطالبة الأبيض بتقديم عقود جديدة مع منحه مهلة حتى 15 سبتمبر الجاري.

ولم يقدم الزمالك عقدا جديدا للاعب مما سيدفع اتحاد كرة السلة للإعلان خلال الساعات المقبلة عن أحقية الاتحاد في تسجيل أنس أسامة كلاعب جديد في كشوفاته في صفقة انتقال مجانية وذلك عقب بطلان العقد الموقع من اللاعب مع ناديه السابق الزمالك.

ويستعد أنس أسامة مع الاتحاد في معسكر في صربيا من أجل بدء مشوار الفريق في البطولة العربية التي ستنطلق في الكويت يوم الخامس من أكتوبر المقبل.

West Bromwich Albion will be looking to add attacking quality to their side during the upcoming winter transfer window, especially now that Jordan Hugill is reportedly set to be recalled early by Norwich from his loan deal with the Baggies.

One player who has been linked with a move to the Hawthorns again is Josh Windass, who was previously tipped for a move to the club last year.

Windass currently plays for Sheffield Wednesday, despite signing a new contract in the summer and only recently coming back from injury, the 27-year-old has been linked to a number of clubs including Hull City, Blackburn Rovers, Middlesbrough, Stoke City and of course West Brom.

Sheffield Wednesday teammate, Barry Bannan, has already hailed the midfielder after speaking to the club’s media upon Windass’ return to the team after injury:

“Josh Windass is massive for us and a top, top player. He makes good runs, has pace and scores goals.” he said.

Ismael will be working to find solutions to the inconsistencies with goal scoring that the current West Brom side have been facing. Having scored just 29 times this term, 31 fewer than first placed Fulham, it has put them further back in the table with automatic promotion a big ask after a run of one win in their last five games.

However, the addition of Windass, somebody with 45 goals in the English Football League to his name, could prove extremely fruitful in turning their season around.

The Baggies have been linked with a number of attacking players already this season due to such a lack of goals, and have been reportedly scouting Windass since he has been back in action, which suggests he could be a strong candidate to be snapped up in January for the club.

West Brom have an important game coming up on Friday evening when they will host Reading at the Hawthorns, they will surely be hoping to stick to their winning ways from their 2-1 victory over Coventry City last weekend.

Since Marcelo Bielsa took charge at Leeds United, the Argentine has taken the club back to the Premier League after a 16-year absence and got them to a top-half finish in their first season back in the top flight.

One figure that has played a massive part in Leeds’ rise from the Championship to the Premier League is Luke Ayling, who has made a total of 200 appearances for the Yorkshire club across all competitions in which he has managed to score seven goals and provide 17 assists along the way.

Last season saw Ayling start all 38 of Leeds’ Premier League games as well as Stuart Dallas, showing how vital he is for Bielsa’s side.

Having now hit the age of 30 and with his current contract at Elland Road set to expire in the summer of 2023, there’s every chance that the club will be looking at who could be their potential long-term replacement for the long-serving Englishman.

With that in mind, it seems as though Bielsa could already have the perfect long-term heir for Ayling that could save Victor Orta millions in potential future transfer fees.

Since joining Leeds’ U23 side from Fulham’s U23 squad back in August last year, 20-year-old right-back Cody Drameh has made 33 appearances for Leeds’ youth side, scoring one goal and providing four assists along the way.

Drameh has also made two appearances for Leeds’ senior side, showing that Bielsa has enough confidence in him already to perform to a high standard in the first team alongside the senior players at Leeds.

This season has seen Drameh be involved in Leeds’ senior matchday squad on eight occasions in the league with one 19-minute cameo appearance in their 2-1 win away at Norwich City.

Labelled as a “revelation” in the past by Tom Hill and as a player that “loves defending” by Ben Parker, Drameh won Leeds’ U23s Player of the Year award last year, highlighting the quality he has.

Given how Ayling managed to rack up an average of 2.8 tackles per game in the league last season as well as winning 61% of the duels he was involved in, these are the sort of defensive numbers that Drameh will have to match if he wants to be recognised as Ayling’s long-term heir at Leeds.

However, with the praise he’s garnered since joining the Yorkshire club, it seems as though that Drameh is more than capable of doing that in the next few years given his apparent love for defending.
