تعرض فريق ريال مدريد، لهزيمة مُفاجئة في افتتاح مشواره بمُسابقة دوري أبطال أوروبا، على يد شاختار دونستيك الأوكراني في دوري أبطال أوروبا.

ريال مدريد سقط على ميدانه “ألفريدو دي ستيفانو”، بنتيجة 3-2 ضمن لقاءات الجولة الأولى من دور المجموعات بدوري الأبطال (طالع تقرير المباراة).

سيرجيو راموس، قائد ريال مدريد لم يشارك في المباراة، بسبب الإصابة في الركبة، تعرض لها خلال مباراة قادش الماضية، التي هُزم فيها الملكي بهدف نظيف.

وبحسب شبكة “ميستر شيب” الإسبانية، للأرقام والإحصائيات، فإن مُنذ الموسم الماضي، تعرض الملكي لسبع خسارات في دوري أبطال أوروبا، في لقاءات لم يُشارك بها راموس.

وجاءت المباريات التي هُزم فيها ريال مدريد في غياب راموس؛ كالتالي:

– أياكس أمستردام 4-1 ريال مدريد.

Just when the run-in couldn’t get any harder for Arsenal, they’ve now lost arguably their best defender this season.

Sokratis’ 25th-minute yellow card in Arsenal’s 1-0 loss to Everton was the Greek defender’s 10th yellow card of the season, meaning the former Borussia Dortmund man now misses the Gunners next two Premier League games, two matches Unai Emery absolutely has to win.

Watford away and Crystal Palace at home are winnable games for the Gunners, but without Sokratis’ defensive quality and organisation the task of picking up six points from six has just got a lot harder, and fans could turn on the Greek international, who is valued at £18 million (by Transfermarkt), if Arsenal don’t get maximum points in the next two games.

Arsenal’s weekend loss has brought fans and players back down to the reality that qualification for the Champions League won’t be a walk in the park, and Sokratis’ suspension for the next two games will only make things more difficult for a side that have yet to keep a clean sheet on the road this season.

The problem doesn’t also stop at Sokratis being unavailable for two games, though. With Laurent Koscielny unavailable since mid-March and Rob Holding out until next season, meaning Emery might have to turn to Carl Jenkinson or Stephan Lichtsteiner for central defensive cover in the Greek’s absence.

Young defender Konstantinos Mavropanos will also likely miss out on first-team opportunities too with the 21-year-old yet to return to full fitness after a lengthy spell out on the side with injury.

Sokratis has been one of the best signings Emery brought in this summer, but his recklessness on the pitch might have cost him and the team an opportunity to qualify for the Champions League for the first time in three years, and if Arsenal fall to Watford and Palace, you can bet fans will point to the absence of the Greek defender for those missed opportunities.

أثنى أحمد حسام ميدو لاعب الزمالك ومنتخب مصر السابق ومقدم البرامج الحالي على موافقة القلعة البيضاء على تأجيل مباراة إياب نصف نهائي دوري أبطال إفريقيا أمام الرجاء المغربي.

وكان مرتضى منصور رئيس مجلس إدارة نادي الزمالك قد أعلن أمس في تصريحات تلفزيونية موافقته في حال قرر الاتحاد الإفريقي تأجيل المواجهة المرتقبة.

وطالب ميدو بضرورة تحقيق مبدأ تكافؤ الفرص وتأجيل مباراة الأهلي والوداد في نفس الدور وإلا يتمسك الزمالك بإقامة مواجهته في الموعد المحدد لها.

ومن المقرر أن يخوض الأهلي مواجهته أمام الوداد يوم الجمعة المقبل على ملعب استاد القاهرة، فيما يخوض الزمالك على نفس الملعب مبارته أمام الرجاء يوم السبت.

وترددت الأنباء حول اقتراب الاتحاد الإفريقي من اتخاذ قراره بتأجيل مباراة الزمالك والرجاء بسبب تفشي فيروس كورونا بين عناصر الفريق المغربي قبل السفر إلى القاهرة.

ونشر ميدو عبر حسابه الشخصي بموقع التواصل الاجتماعي “تويتر”: “تحية للزمالك على عدم ممانعته على تأجيل اللقاء.. الناحية الإنسانية أهم من أي بطولة وهي دي أخلاقنا ولازم نفخر بيها.. ولو كانت الإصابات عندنا إحنا كنا هنتمنى إن المنافس يكون عنده نفس أخلاقنا.. نعمل اللي إحنا شايفينه صح وعدل وفي النهاية النتيجة بتاعة ربنا.. وأنا متاكد لو عملنا كده هنكسب”.

وتابع: “لازم الاتحاد الافريقي يأجل ماتش الأهلي والوداد علشان يبقى في فرص متكافئة في النهائي فيما يخص إعطاء عدد أيام متساوية للاستشفاء لطرفين النهائي.. لو القرار كده يبقى ١٠٠ ١٠٠ لو الاتحاد الافريقي أصر على لعب مباراة الأهلي والوداد في ميعاده يبقى الزمالك لازم يقول لأ!”.

وأتم: “لازم الزمالك يوافق على التأجيل لأن دي أخلاقنا وعلاقتنا بإخواتنا المغاربة أهم من أي شيء ولكن يجب أن يشترط تأجيل مباراة الأهلي والوداد لتطبيق العدالة على جميع الفرق”.

يذكر أن مواجهة الذهاب بين الأهلي والوداد حسمها المارد الأحمر بثنائية نظيفه، واستطاع الزمالك خطف فوز ثمين أمام الرجاء في الدور ذاته.

Without a standout candidate for the right-wing spot, Manchester United have been linked with a move in excess of £100m for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, a transfer that would give them arguably Europe’s most precocious player in his position.

As a result, Sancho’s potential arrival is a necessity, and one that could solve the problem for the next decade – however, he alone isn’t enough to fill the void. He needs an understudy.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needn’t take to the market again to find one though. United have one within their ranks already in Tahith Chong.

The 19-year-old has already made his first-team debut for the club in the FA Cup tie against Reading, and you simply can’t miss his tall, frizzy-haired appearance running rings around innocent full-backs out on the pitch.

A Holland Under-21 international, Chong is a left-footed right-winger who enjoys cutting in on his stronger foot to great effect – he has seven goals and three assists for the youth team this season.

Chong has also already made his Premier League and Champions League debut this term, coming on in the latter stages of a 3-2 win over Southampton, whilst also playing a role in United’s incredible comeback win over Paris Saint-Germain inside the Parc des Princes.

United’s No.44 is a true throwback of a wide player, a touchline-hugger who is always looking to take on his man and burn past him with ease – his lanky, skinny frame but blistering pace is a strange but effective combination.

He has only been drip-fed first-team football, however, whereas Sancho is leading the assist charts in Europe and is also performing to a ridiculously high level.

In that respect, United would be wise to have Chong model himself on Sancho and become his understudy, whilst the pair focus on repairing the club’s weak right-wing position together.

Lapping up the south coast sunshine, it’s no surprise Bournemouth have put their sandals on early. But that cushion of all but mathematically secured survival allows Eddie Howe to put plans in place that will remedy the problems for next season via the transfer market rather than having to focus on immediate solutions – and it’s quite clear from the statistics that Bournemouth are lacking real ball-winning mettle.

Where are Bournemouth short?

Bournemouth play gorgeous football when at their best, but out of possession there’s still a lack of aggression about them. Tellingly, Bournemouth rank bottom for tackles per game, seventh-bottom for interceptions per game and fourth-bottom for fouls per game out of all Premier League clubs this season, according to Whoscored.

Jefferson Lerma was signed last summer to improve that aspect of Bournemouth’s game but the Colombian’s influence has waned throughout the season, and he can’t overturn the key characteristics of a whole team on his own. In any case, in the absence of Lewis Cook, quality in deep-lying midfield has been a real problem for the Cherries with Dan Gosling and Andrew Surman struggling to fill the former Leeds man’s void.

Player profile: What do Bournemouth need?

Clearly, a dynamic ball-winning midfielder would go a long way to remedying Bournemouth’s biggest problem. Inevitably, those players are often thought of in a defensive sense but the likes of N’Golo Kante and Idrissa Gueye have proved they they can make a difference going forward as well, whether that’s by bursting away from breakdowns with the ball at feet to dribble into space on the counter-attack or arriving late in the box. Midfield output is a key problem for Bournemouth as well – Lerma is the only central midfielder to have scored or assisted for Howe’s side in the Premier League this season.

Who fits the bill?

Philip Billing: With 2.7 tackles, 2 interceptions and 3.3 aerial duels won per game this season, Billing ranks above all of Bournemouth’s current midfielders on all three fronts, while he’s ahead of them in the scoring charts on two despite Huddersfield’s woes in front of goal. The Yorkshire club’s relegation could well see him move on this summer and at the age of 22, he’d be a wise long-term investment for a club like Bournemouth.

Massimo Luongo: He’s not traditionally seen as a ball-winner but the Australian international has made three tackles or more in 21 Championship games this season, standing out in a very poor QPR side. With an established record of popping up further forward, last season netting six times in the Championship, he’d solve a few problems for Bournemouth – and his contract will have just 12 months left this summer.

Ibrahim Sangare: Comparisons with Kante and Gueye seem inevitable, the Toulouse man being yet another Ligue 1 midfield product of the same mould. This season, he’s combined four tackles per game with 1.9 dribbles, while popping up with three assists. Aged 21, top clubs will no doubt already be looking at the Ivory Coast international, so Bournemouth will do well to get there first.

If there’s ever a contender for the weirdest, most baffling match of football in the history of the English game, then Leyton Orient and Droylsden might just take the crown.

Last-minute equalisers, four red cards, and six goals in extra-time all culminated into what could actually be one of the weirdest games in the history of English football, and it wasn’t even that long ago when it took place.

A moment in time – Leyton Orient vs Droylsden, 2010

The date, the 7th December 2010; the venue, Brisbane Road. Leyton Orient welcomed non-league side Droylsden to east London after the two sides were forced into a replay in the second round of the FA Cup after a 1-1 draw in the previous game. What was about to happen next was something nobody could have predicted.

For starters, the visitors took a surprise with only six minutes on the clock through Ciaran Kilheeney, and things only got better for the Manchester-based side when Orient were reduced to 10-men after an awful challenge, get used to this theme, from Terrell Forbes.

Droylsden quickly made it 2-0 after the restart, and it was starting to look like the O’s would be on the receiving end of an FA Cup upset, but things yet again took an unexpected turn.

Ben Chorley brought the deficit down to just one 13 minutes from time from the penalty spot, and then the visitors found themselves with a man down after Nathaniel Kerr was sent off with a straight red for a rash challenge, giving Orient the manpower and quality to bag an equalising goal one minute from time.

Already this game had the hallmarks to be an FA Cup classic, and extra-time took the match into a whole new tier entirely. Droylsden went down to nine men shortly after the full 90 minutes, allowing Orient to yet again take advantage and put themselves ahead… by six goals.

Yes, you read that correctly. Orient went on a madness and scored six goals in extra-time, with Jonathan Tehoue and Scott McGleish both hitting hat-tricks to seal an 8-2 win for the east London side after going 2-0 down and only taking the match to extra-time with a last-gasp equaliser.

Few games can compete with the ridiculousness Orient’s famous encounter with Droylsden conjured up, and it is likely such a feat will ever be matched again by a team in England.

وعاد رونالدو لتورينو وخضع للعزل المنزلي، وأجرى البرتغالي عدة مسحات وظهرت نتائجها إيجابية، وبعد خضوعه للفحص اليوم اتضح تعافيه من فيروس كورونا.

عزز محمود عبد المنعم كهربا تقدم فريق الكرة الأول بالنادي الأهلي، على نظيره طلائع الجيش في الدقيقة 37 من عمر المباراة المقامة بينهما الآن.

Many Arsenal fans on Twitter have been reacting to a rumour about a forgotten man at the Emirates Stadium, on-loan Denis Suarez.

The speculation, claiming that the Gunners won’t seek to sign the Barcelona star permanently in the summer, was posted by popular fan account AFTV.

And supporters have responded in a manner of different ways, with some stating that they’d forgotten the 25-year-old even plies his trade in north London, and others taking aim at the flop and Arsenal’s recruitment process in general.

Suarez hooked up with Unai Emery’s men for the rest of the season from his parent club in January but things haven’t gone his way since then, injury and non-selection restricting him to just four Premier League appearances thus far.

One Gooner comically wrote about how the club are essentially paying for him to have a holiday in the English capital for half-a-season, another sarcastically blasted the rumour for how obvious it is, and one more called the central midfielder “useless.”
