أكد محمد الشناوي، قائد فريق الكرة بنادي الأهلي، على أهمية مباراة باتشوكا الودية التي يخوضها الأحمر، كونها التجربة الوحيدة قبل مواجهة إنتر ميامي في المباراة الافتتاحية لبطولة كأس العالم للأندية، وتعد خير إعداد للاعبين.
وتقام منافسات بطولة كأس العالم للأندية 2025، خلال الفترة من 14 يونيو حتى 13 يوليو بمشاركة 32 فريقًا لأول مرة في التاريخ.
ويتواجد الأهلي في المجموعة الأولى ضمن منافسات كأس العالم للأندية، رفقة أندية إنتر ميامي الأمريكي، وبورتو البرتغالي، وبالميراس البرازيلي.
وقال محمد الشناوي في تصريحات خلال المؤتمر الصحفي قبل المباراة: “الأهلي يؤدي المران بكل قوة مع الجهاز الفني الجديد في معسكر الإعداد الحالي في أمريكا، من أجل التحضير بقوة لمونديال الأندية والظهور بالشكل الذي يليق بالأهلي ويسعد الجماهير”.
وأكمل: “جميع اللاعبين يعرفون جيدًا نظام الفريق، واللاعبين الجدد كبار وأصحاب خبرات، وبالتأكيد سوف يدخلون بسرعة في نظام الفريق، وأهم شيء حاليًا التركيز بقوة في التدريبات، حتى يكون الجميع على أتم استعداد لمباريات كأس العالم”.
وعن صور لاعبي الأهلي مع ليونيل ميسي في شوارع ميامي: “أمر يسعد الجميع، ونحن فخورون بهذه الصور التي تدل بالتأكيد على أن الأهلي فريق كبير ويضم لاعبين كبارًا، ولكن الأهم حاليًا هو التركيز فيما هو قادم لتحقيق الفوز في مباراة الافتتاح والوصول لأبعد نقطة في المونديال”.

وزاد: “نجلس مع الجميع والكل يعلم أن لديه مسؤولية داخل وخارج الملعب، ولهذا لا أجد صعوبة مطلقًا في هذا الأمر، فجميع لاعبي الأهلي واحد ولديهم مسؤولية مشتركة وهذا هو نظام الأهلي دائمًا”.

Wigan Athletic moved to the Brick Community Stadium in 1999, leaving Springfield Park. Formerly known as the JJB Stadium and then the DW Stadium, the ground has a capacity of 25,138 and features modern amenities, catering to football and rugby league events.
Wigan spent eight seasons playing Premier League football at the stadium, lifting the FA Cup in 2013.
18 MKM Stadium (Hull City) Opened: 2002
A bit like the Brick Community Stadium, Hull City’s MKM Stadium caters for football and rugby league, serving as the home of the Tigers and Hull F.C. of the Super League.
Previously known as the KCOM Stadium, Hull City moved there in 2002 from Boothferry Park. Six years later, they achieved a historic milestone, earning promotion to the Premier League for the first time while playing at their new home.

Another club whose ground hosts football and rugby – this time with rugby union side Ospreys – Swansea City moved to the then-named Liberty Stadium in 2005, leaving behind Vetch Field.
Now known as the Swansea.com Stadium, it has a capacity of 21,088. While undeniably a step up from their former home in terms of facilities, it’s a little bland.
16 Cardiff City Stadium (Cardiff City) Opened: 2009
The Cardiff City Stadium opened in 2009, replacing Ninian Park as the Welsh club’s home. Cardiff City secured promotion to the Premier League in 2013, with the stadium witnessing the celebratory 0-0 draw against Charlton Athletic that secured top-flight status.
It’s not a bad stadium, but is somewhat overshadowed by the much more impressive Millennium Stadium just down the road.
15 Gtech Community Stadium (Brentford) Opened: 2020
Built with their Premier League ambitions in mind, Brentford moved to the Gtech Community Stadium in 2020, departing from their long-term home at Griffin Park.
Though the Bees have enjoyed remarkable success at the ground, it simply doesn’t rank highly here because of its tiny capacity of just 17,250 – which is far too small for the Premier League and a club of its stature.

Reading transitioned to the Madejski Stadium in 1998, leaving Elm Park behind. The Royals soon went on to enjoy two of the most successful seasons in their history at the ground – winning the Championship in 2005/06 before finishing eighth in the Premier League in their first top-flight season.
The stadium itself is decent, but it doesn’t particularly stand out from the crowd.
13 St Mary's Stadium (Southampton) Opened: 2001
Southampton moved to St Mary’s Stadium in 2001 from their historic home at The Dell.
Although much larger, with a capacity of 32,384, St Mary’s lacks the unique atmosphere that made The Dell so special. Additionally, its location on the outskirts of Southampton can make it feel somewhat detached from the heart of the city, affecting the matchday experience.
12 Pride Park (Derby County) Opened: 1997
Derby County moved to Pride Park in 1997 from the Baseball Ground.
Strangely enough, it was actually designed to resemble the Riverside Stadium, which opened a couple of years prior – and it has turned out to be quite similar: a large, modern and tidy-looking stadium that often lacks a strong atmosphere, and aesthetically speaking, doesn’t leave a particularly lasting impression.
11 Riverside Stadium (Middlesbrough) Opened: 1995
With a capacity of 34,742, Middlesbrough’s Riverside Stadium, which the club moved to in 1995 from Ayresome Park, is currently one of the biggest in the United Kingdom outside the Premier League.
However, big isn’t always better, as the stadium can sometimes feel a bit too vast, especially when not full. Still, it looks quite nice and was home to Boro’s historic run to the UEFA Cup final in 2006.
10 Toughsheet Community Stadium (Bolton Wanderers) Opened: 1997
Once home to legendary players like Jay-Jay Okocha, Youri Djorkaeff and Ivan Campo, the Toughsheet Community Stadium, formerly the Reebok Stadium, became Bolton Wanderers’ home in 1997 after their move from Burnden Park.
During the club’s peak years in the Premier League, the ground was often regarded as a fortress, with Bolton regularly finishing in mid-table and competing in European competitions.

International engagements and personal reasons have forced Bangladesh allrounder Shakib Al Hasan to opt out of IPL 2023. ESPNcricinfo has learned that Shakib informed Kolkata Knight Riders about this development on Sunday. The franchise will begin the process of seeking a replacement once it gets a nod from the IPL.Shakib is set to be involved in a busy few weeks for Bangladesh. He and keeper-batter Litton Das already missed Knight Riders’ first match of the season, against Punjab Kings while playing a home T20I series against Ireland. The two are also part of Bangladesh’s squad for a one-off Test match against Ireland that begins on Tuesday. This will be followed by a tour of the UK, where Bangladesh are set to play three ODIs against Ireland in Chelmsford on May 9, 12 and 14.It is understood that Shakib told Knight Riders that he would be busy playing for Bangladesh in this period, and also mentioned that he has “personal issues to attend to”, which would keep him away from the IPL.The development also puts the spotlight on Litton, who was also signed by Knight Riders at the 2023 player auction in December. Litton will be part of the same two series Shakib will be involved in, against Ireland, but at the moment he remains part of the Knight Riders squad. There was no confirmation or clarity on whether Das, too, will opt out of the IPL.On December 22, the day before the auction, the IPL had informed teams about the availability of overseas players. According to a report from Spain, Man Utd are looking to sign Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak and have identified him as their main target for the summer.
Those at the Etihad are also keen on Oblak to potentially replace Ederson, however, it is Man Utd who are better positioned to sign the goalkeeper. The report adds that Atletico are demanding at least €30m (£25m) to sell Oblak, a fee ‘feasible for a club with the financial power of United’.

The 32-year-old has been on the books with Atletico for more than 10 years now, and during that time, has established himself as one of the best keepers around.
During Lionel Messi’s final years at Barcelona, the Argentine hailed Oblak, calling him “one of the best goalkeepers in the world”.
“It’s good to face each other. He is one of the best goalkeepers in the world at the moment, and it is always good to fight against the best.
“It’s an extra motivation to be able, or to try, to score a goal, with what it means and how difficult it is, as he proves in every game he plays. So it’s good to see him out there but also to face him in the match. This makes them more exciting.”
Oblak is Atletico’s top earner on around €400,000-a-week (£335,000-a-week), a figure which would make him Man Utd’s highest earner, so that may need to be reduced in order for a summer move to go through.
