تحركت إدارة نادي الهلال السعودي رسميًا لتجديد عقد لاعب الفريق الأول لكرة القدم، بعدما قدّمت عرضًا يمتد لموسمين قادمين، في محاولة لضمان استمراره مع الفريق خلال المرحلة المقبلة.

وكشفت مصادر لـ”الرياضية” السعودية، أن الحارس الدولي محمد العويس هو المقصود بالعرض، مشيرة إلى أن اللاعب لا يزال يدرس المقترح، وسط اهتمام من أندية كبيرة تسعى لضمه، دون أن يحسم موقفه النهائي حتى الآن.

وكان محمد العويس قد انضم إلى صفوف الهلال في صيف 2022 قادمًا من الأهلي، وبدأ منذ يناير الماضي فترة حرة تتيح له التوقيع لأي نادٍ دون العودة لإدارة الهلال.

وطلبت إدارة “الزعيم” من اللاعب حسم قراره قبل انطلاق منافسات كأس العالم التي سيشارك فيها الفريق يونيو المقبل، في محاولة لترتيب ملف حراسة المرمى مبكرًا.

يذكر أن العويس بدأ مسيرته مع نادي الشباب قبل الانتقال إلى الأهلي عام 2017، ثم إلى الهلال في صفقة انتقال حر عام 2022.

وساهم مع الهلال في التتويج بعدة ألقاب، من بينها دوري روشن السعودي، وكأس خادم الحرمين الشريفين، وكأس سوبر لوسيل، إلى جانب الحصول على المركز الرابع في كأس العالم للأندية 2022.

وعلى الصعيد الدولي، تألق العويس بشكل لافت مع المنتخب السعودي خلال كأس العالم 2022، لا سيما في المباراة التاريخية أمام الأرجنتين، التي نال فيها جائزة أفضل لاعب في اللقاء.

The 23-year-old centre-back has impressed at Pride Park and looks set to earn a move into the Premier League as a result this month. It’s there that he should hand Fabian Hurzeler an instant boost in pursuit of turning his side back towards a European place following a recent slump.

So late on in the window, Cashin could yet be Brighton’s final arrival in what has otherwise been a fairly quiet month.

"Colossal" Cashin is on the rise

Still just 23 years old, Cashin is seemingly set to go from League One to the Premier League in the space of three years in senior football, representing quite the rise. In just his second season out of Derby’s academy last year, the defender earned the praise of manager Paul Warne following an impressive performance against Wigan Athletic on his side’s way to promotion.

Warne told the club’s official website following the 1-0 victory: “It’s difficult to play against Wigan, so I liked how the lads took on the detail. I liked our energy and our confidence on the ball and I liked when called upon we could do the ugly stuff. It would have taken some goal to beat Cash and Nels today as I thought they were colossal at the back.”

It’s the type of form that Cashin has continued in the current campaign to deservedly earn the interest of Brighton ahead of Monday’s deadline, where he could continue to flourish.

As a result, England, who had lost pole position to New Zealand in May 2021, have regained their place atop the rankings chart. They currently have a rating of 119 with New Zealand on 117 slipping to second.New Zealand can move to 119 ratings if they win the third and final ODI in Cairns on Sunday but will still be placed second. However, things have gone south for New Zealand in the first two outings.In the first ODI, defending 232, New Zealand had Australia reeling at 44 for 5 before a 158-run sixth-wicket stand between Alex Carey and Cameron Green helped the hosts recover. وكاد ليفاندوفسكي أن يسجل الهدف الثالث له ولفريق برشلونة في الدقيقة 60، بعدما سدد كرة قوية ولكن اعتلت المرمى.

وتحصل برشلونة على ضربة جزاء في الدقيقة 92، بعد تدخل تقنية الفيديو، ونفذها داني أولمو بعد خروج ليفاندوفسكي في الدقيقة 89.

City added six new players to their squad in the last month, with Omar Marmoush, Abdukodir Khusanov, Vitor Reis, Juma Bah, Christian McFarlane and Nico Gonzalez all joining.

It was Gonzalez who was City’s last January transfer, as City agreed to pay the £50 million release clause in his Porto contract on deadline day. After joining City, Gonzalez stated this was “the perfect opportunity”.

“This is the perfect opportunity for me at this stage of my career,” he told the club’s media. “I am 23, and I want to test myself in England. There’s no better club than Manchester City for me to do that. Look at the squad they have here – it’s unbelievable, full of world-class players. There isn’t a footballer in the world who would not want to be part of this set-up.”

Man City expected to make a summer move for £49m player

City’s decision to sign Gonzalez looked to have prevented them from signing Andrea Cambiaso, with whom they had reached an agreement to sign. However, according to Tuttosport relayed by Sport Witness, Man City could now look to complete the transfer of Cambiaso during the summer transfer window.

This report claims that City had found an agreement with Juventus to sign Cambiaso for €60 million and bonuses, which is roughly £49 million. It also adds that the Blues had reached an agreement on personal terms with the defender, agreeing to a four-year contract with City, doubling his current wages. However, City’s spending during January has now seen them delay the transfer of Cambiaso, and the report states that is why an official offer wasn’t made.

It is now believed that the defender will stay in Turin until after the FIFA Club World Cup in the summer, and then a move to Man City can go through. A transfer to the Etihad is likely to be agreed on similar terms that have already been agreed.

The 24-year-old has emerged on City’s radar as they search for a long-term replacement for Kyle Walker. The Italian, who has been dubbed “an excellent playmaker from deep” by analyst Ben Mattinson, can operate as a right-back as well as a left-back, making him an ideal signing for Guardiola as he likes to have players who can play in multiple positions. Signing Cambiaso in the summer may become very important, given Matheus Nunes keeps playing in that right-back spot, and it has yet to fully pay off.
